Mission

Build the 'Veritas Lens': A public-facing web tool where a user can submit a URL (to a tweet, news article, or official statement). The system will then scan a curated, diverse set of global sources (official government accounts, state-affiliated media, independent journalists, etc.) to find and display contradictory claims side-by-side. The output will be a visual map of the discourse, highlighting key points of factual divergence and showing who is saying what, without declaring a definitive 'winner'.

Sprint Timeline

Week 10/4

Publish the project manifesto and announce the first case study, securing initial community buy-in and source suggestions.

Week 20/8

Successfully execute and publish the first manual 'Veritas Lens' analysis, demonstrating the value and format of the project.

Week 30/12

Publish a second case study to demonstrate repeatability and refine the analysis process based on Week 2 feedback.

Week 411/16

Synthesize all learnings and community feedback into a public 'Veritas Lens v0.1 Specification' document, fulfilling the 'documented prototype' success criterion.

Milestones

Week 1Publish a manifesto-style long-form article titled 'Building the Veritas Lens' explaining the project's 'why' and its methodology. Announce the first case study topic. Promote this with an X thread, asking for community feedback on the concept and source suggestions.
Week 2Execute and publish the first manual 'Veritas Lens' analysis on the chosen news story. This should be a detailed X thread with a companion long-form article. The goal is to demonstrate the value and format of the analysis.
Week 4After publishing a second case study, draft and release a public 'Veritas Lens v0.1 Specification' as a long-form article. This document translates your manual process and community feedback into a technical/design specification for the hypothetical tool, fulfilling the 'documented prototype' capability.
